Sarah or also Saraï is the wife of Abraham. She travels with Abraham from Ur to Canaan. In Egypt, she becomes part of Pharaoh's harem because Abraham is afraid. She doubts God's promise that she will bear a child, and encourages Abraham to take Hagar as his wife, but becomes jealous of Hagar when she becomes pregnant. She bullies Hagar so much that Hagar flees. Sara also laughs when she hears that she will have a baby at the age of 90.
