Biblical person: Jude (apostle)

Creative activities and ideas based on the biblical figure of Jude (apostle)

Jude also known as Thaddaeus, was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus. He is mentioned in the synoptic gospels and the book of Acts, but little is known about his life or ministry. In John 14:22, he is referred to as "Judas (not Iscariot)" and asks Jesus why he is revealing himself only to the disciples and not to the world. He is also listed among the apostles in Matthew 10:3 and Mark 3:18. According to tradition, he preached in Mesopotamia and was martyred in Persia, possibly by being beaten to death with a club.
