Halloween / All Saints' Day in the Bible: Creative activities for your children's ministry

All Saints Day and Halloween are two celebrations that take place around the same time of the year. While Halloween is a secular holiday that is typically associated with costumes, trick-or-treating, and spooky themes, All Saints Day is a Christian celebration that honors the saints who have gone before us.

In the Bible, there are many references to the saints, including their faithful witness, acts of kindness and compassion, and the role they play in God's kingdom. For example, Hebrews 11 lists many of the great figures of the Old Testament, including Abraham, Moses, and David, who are referred to as saints.

As children's workers, it is important to help children understand the difference between these two celebrations and the significance of All Saints Day in the Bible. Through stories, songs, and activities, we can teach children about the saints and encourage them to follow their examples of faith and service to others.
