Why does this film go with today’s Bible story?
In her song Mary sings that God has not forgotten His love for Israel. That’s why he is always coming to the aid of his people. That is what he had promised to his friend Abraham and to everyone who came after him.
Mary knows that the birth of her child means that the God of all the ancient stories in the Bible, such as Abraham, Isaac, Jonah and Noah still loves His people. He has not forgotten them.
