  • a large glass bowl
  • a light that you can place underneath this bowl. In the video we have used a mobile phone.
  • vegetable oil
  • two glasses of water
  • yellow and red food colouring
  • broken up pieces of effervescent tablet - such as vitamin C tablets, or those used to clean dentures.
