Biblical person: Timothy (co-worker Paul)

Timothy was a young companion and mentee of the apostle Paul. He was born to a Greek father and a Jewish mother, and was a resident of the city of Lystra. Timothy first met Paul during one of his missionary journeys and was impressed by his teachings. Paul saw great potential in Timothy and eventually took him under his wing as a traveling companion and protégé. Timothy accompanied Paul on many of his journeys, assisting him in his missionary work and serving as his representative to various churches. Paul later wrote two letters to Timothy, which are included in the New Testament.
