Biblical person: Eutychus (young man)

Creative activities and ideas based on the biblical figure of Eutychus (young man)

Eutychus was a young man who appears briefly in the New Testament. According to the book of Acts, he was present during a sermon given by the apostle Paul in Troas. As Paul spoke late into the night, Eutychus fell asleep and fell out of the third-story window where he was sitting, presumably to his death.

However, Paul immediately went down and embraced Eutychus, saying that he was still alive. The stunned onlookers brought Eutychus back upstairs, where Paul continued to speak until dawn. Eutychus' survival was seen as a miraculous intervention by God and helped to strengthen the faith of those who witnessed it.
