Introduction:
"Two of them, Cleopas and possibly Luke, who was the one who reported the story, decided not to wait about in Jerusalem any longer but to go back home - they were staying in Emmaus - about 7 miles away. It was early afternoon as they walked along together, down the rough road away from Jerusalem, until they began to follow the lovely green valley full of olive and lemon groves which led up to Bethany. A stranger joined them as they walked along, probably with the hood of his cloak over his head to protect against the sun. Can you guess who it was? It was this person - let's write his name up - JESUS! But they didn't recognise him. He had a different robe on for a start, his old one had been kept by the soldiers. It wasn't unusual for someone to join a group of walkers, it was safer to walk in a group."

A beautiful Bible story written by Korky and Anni Davey (OAC ministries) with an easy to do painting. You can however also tell the story without a painting.
