Compassion  in the Bible: Creative activities for your children's ministry

Compassion is a central theme in the Bible and is an important value for Christians to live by. It is about having concern for others, showing empathy and understanding, and offering help and support.

For example, the Good Samaritan story in the New Testament teaches us about compassion, as the Good Samaritan showed mercy and kindness to a stranger in need. In the same way, Jesus demonstrated compassion by healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and helping those who were marginalized.

As children's workers, it is important to help children understand the importance of compassion and to encourage them to show compassion to others. By doing so, children can learn to be kind, understanding, and empathetic, and to put the needs of others before their own. They can learn to care for those around them, to help those in need, and to make a positive difference in the world.

On this page you will find creative ideas, resources and activities relating to the topic of teamwork, which you can use in your Bible lessons, Sunday school, kidmin, kid’s ministry, elementary school or homeschooling.
