Use this Icebreaker to teach about Joseph becoming ruler in Egypt
After thirteen terrible years of being a slave, and being thrown into prison for something he hadn’t done, it’s finally time to celebrate. Joseph becomes viceroy of Egypt and can finally forget all the misery. It’s time for a party.
He calls his oldest son Manasseh, and his youngest son Ephraim. Manasseh means ‘to forget’, and Joseph said It is because God has made me forget all my trouble and all my father’s household. “I have forgotten all my sadness. I don’t miss my family any more”. Ephraim means ‘fruitful’, and Joseph said, “It is because God has made me fruitful in the land of my suffering.”
