The shepherds were watching their sheep at night. The truth was that they didn’t really belong anywhere – they were the real scum of society. Of course God wouldn’t want to be with them either. God was only with the good people. But suddenly there’s the angel bringing good tidings. God is much more inclusive than anyone thought. God also wants to be with the shepherds! Jesus came for them too. That night the shepherds learnt a lot about God…..
