Everyday tip for your Sunday school lesson or children’s ministry
Children's ministry is all about being speaking their language
If we're gonna teach the kids in our children's ministry something, we want them to understand it. But this is not always the case. This means that sometimes we have to adapt what we say. We should not talk down to them, but do it in such a way that it appeals to them. Do the children understand what you are saying? Do you speak in their language? Or do they miss most of what you try to teach them?
Sometimes, as a children's worker, you don't always get this right. By asking a question, you can check whether what you are saying really is on their level.
