Everyday tip for your Sunday school lesson or children’s ministry
Children's ministry is all about being enthusiastic
Sometimes we find this difficult. And it may well be that you need a bit of help or guidance in this area in particular.
Children's workers need to be enthusiastic. If we are going to sing with the children, we have to participate the loudest. We have to make the biggest gestures. Children often do a little less in everything than we do. So if we make a weak gesture while singing because we feel uncomfortable, they will make limp gestures. But if we force ourselves to be enthusiastic, we will take the children with us and they will also become enthusiastic. The same goes for storytelling. The more gestures and drama, the more exciting and attractive it becomes.
How enthusiastic do you dare to be?
