Story - Jesus restores Peter at the barbecue - (sketchboard)

"After breakfast, Jesus asked Peter "Do you love me best?"  "Yes, Lord, you know I love you" said Peter.  "Feed my lambs" said Jesus.

Who do you think Jesus meant by his lambs?

Then he asked again "Peter, do you truly love me?"  "You know I do" said Peter.  "Take care of my sheep" said Jesus.

Who did he mean by his sheep?"  That's not very complimentary, is it, as sheep aren't known for being very intelligent, are they?

Then a third time Jesus said "Peter, do you love me?"  Peter was a bit hurt about this.  ""Lord you know everything about me.  You know I am your friend."   Again, Jesus told him "Feed my sheep."

That's a bit of a joke really, isn't it – here is Jesus, telling Peter, a fisherman, to act as a shepherd and feed sheep!   But it made sense to Peter when he thought about it..."
