What you need:
-
a table
-
two shoe boxes
-
straws
-
ping pong balls
Let's start...
What do you do
Do:
At the two ends of the table, set up two shoe boxes as goals.
Create two or more teams.
Each child tries to blow the ball with his/her straw into the opponent's goal. The ball should not be touched with the hands.
If the ball rolls off the table, the opponent may blow the ball back into play from that spot.
The team with the most goals has won.
After the game, talk through dreams.
Tell:
Also your dreams sometimes need to be blown further to achieve your dream. For example, if you want to become a soccer player, you have to go to soccer to learn it. If you want to become a farmer, you have to learn everything about a farm by visiting a farm, for example, etc.
Questions:
What do the children dream about?
What can the children do to achieve their dream?
Tell:
In our Bible story today, Isaiah dreamed that there would be peace in the whole world.
Ask:
What can Isaiah do to achieve his dream?
