Biblical person: Paul (apostle)

Creative activities and ideas based on the biblical figure of Paul (apostle)

Paul, also known as Saul of Tarsus, was a Jewish man from the city of Tarsus who became one of the most influential figures in the early Christian Church. Prior to his conversion, he was a zealous persecutor of Christians, but after encountering the risen Jesus on the road to Damascus, he became a devoted follower and went on to preach the Gospel throughout the Roman Empire. Paul wrote many letters that are now part of the New Testament, and his teachings on justification by faith and the role of the Law in the Christian life continue to influence Christian theology today. He was eventually martyred for his faith in Rome.
