Biblical person: Zacchaeus (tax collector)
Creative activities and ideas based on the biblical figure of Zacchaeus (tax collector)
Zacchaeus was a chief tax collector who lived in Jericho. He was a short man who climbed a sycamore tree to see Jesus as he passed by. Jesus saw Zacchaeus and told him to come down from the tree because he wanted to stay at his house. Many people criticized Jesus for going to the house of a sinner like Zacchaeus, but Zacchaeus promised to give half of his possessions to the poor and to pay back anyone he had cheated four times as much. Jesus said that salvation had come to Zacchaeus' house that day.
