Biblical person: Bartimeus (beggar)

Creative activities and ideas based on the biblical figure of Bartimeus (beggar)

Bartimaeus was a blind beggar mentioned in the Bible, who was healed by Jesus Christ. According to the Gospel of Mark, as Jesus was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a large crowd, Bartimaeus began calling out to Jesus, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" Many people told him to be quiet, but he persisted, and Jesus called him over. Jesus asked him what he wanted, and Bartimaeus said, "Rabbi, I want to see." Jesus then healed Bartimaeus, telling him, "Go, your faith has healed you." Bartimaeus immediately regained his sight and followed Jesus on his journey.
