Everyday tip for your Sunday school lesson or children’s ministry
Children are the church of today.
We often say, "The children are tomorrow's church." But that is not true. Children are the church of today. They are just part of it. God makes no distinction between a 40 year old Christian and a 6 year old Christian. Why do we? Do the children really belong to the church? How much space do they get? How much of the Sunday morning service is tailored to them?
Why are the children in many churches hidden away as much as possible? Is there reason for this fear? What will the brother or sister say?
The church often listens to the person who expresses his or her opinion most clearly. You won't hear children, but isn't it time we listened to them? And give them a real place in the congregation and in the church services?
