Four friends don't give up in trying to get their paralyzed friend to Jesus
The four friends didn’t give up. Whatever happened, they were determined to reach their goal.
This game is about the children reaching their goal.
The paralyzed man healed by Jesus, the story of the man through the roof
What do you need:
- a table
- two shoe boxes
- two thick milkshake straws
- pingpong balls (table tennis balls)
Split the children up into teams of two to four children.
Put the shoe boxes on their sides as goals at each end of the table. Each time two different teams can play against each other.
Give each child a straw. Each child has to try to blow the pingpong ball into the goal of the opposition, at the other end of the table. They aren’t allowed to touch the ball with their hands. If the ball rolls off the table, the opposition can put it back into the game.
Decide beforehand how long the game is going to last, and the team with the most goals in that time is the winner.
After the game you can talk with the children about goals. It’s not always easy to reach goals.
Which goals do the children have?
What are they doing to reach their goal?
Is that easy or hard?
How will you feel once you have reached your goal?
