Introduction:
"Where would you look for a baby prince? Ask at the palace? In the capital city? Exactly what the three wise men did.
And what did King Herod do? Ask his wise men ... and which town did they say would be the place? Bethlehem!
On th 25th of December the star would have appeared low in the sky, South/South East of Jerusalem, apparently over Bethlehem, as the Magi travelled down the road from the city - just as the Bible says, it seemed to be going before them... they wouldn't see it again. In fact it was seen by an astronomer in China who recorded it too, his name was U Nu. Scientists calculate that the same conjunction will appear again in 2497.
The wise men had a dream, that they should not return to Herod, so they went home another way. Frankincense and Myrrh were more valuable than gold, weight for weight, and much lighter to carry – so perhaps they were simply giving the little family the money they would need to live on in exile in Egypt when they ran away to escape from Herod and became refugees."
