Wonder Box Magic Trick

Wonder Box:  This box will rattle at will.

Lesson

Tell:
You tell the story of Adam and Eve and how they ate of the forbidden fruit. Now they have sinned and tried to hide from God when he shows up in the garden.

We find that Adam and Eve have sinned. On the outside they looked the same, a man and a woman but when God called they tried to hide themselves and their sins from God.

We will pretend this box is Adam.

Do:
Open the box and  show it empty.

Tell:
See it’s empty.  Before they ate the forbidden fruit, there was no sin in him.

Do:
Shake the box side to side so no noise can be heard.

Tell:
Hear that? Of course you don’t, there is no sin in Adam.  But now they ate the fruit and sin

Do:
Slow change the angle of the shaking to an up and down motion to get it to rattle.

Tell:
Now you can hear the sin in Adam.  From the outside you can’t see it but its there.

They tried to hide from God but he knew, he saw them.  They had sinned and now were banished from the garden.  We all sin and carry that in us.

Do:
Rattle the box.

Tell:
but God in His live for us gave us a way to have our sins forgiven. If we confess our sins.

Do:
Rattle the box.

Tell:
If we ask for forgiveness.

Do:
Shake it now without a rattle.

Tell:
God will forgive because of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. He paid for our sins and they are gone.
