Object lesson: Shoe-fashion-show - shoes of readiness / sharing the gospel

A personal favourite! Some people think you have to be very special to be able to talk about the Lord Jesus. They think you have to be very pretty, or very cool, or very neat, or very clever, or fancy, or old, or funny. It can feel like we need to work very hard to be a representative of Jesus! Some people are too afraid to try, thinking it will go wrong and they’ll get wet feet.

But it doesn’t have to be like that at all! We can come just as we are, and be just who we are. We’re perfect in our imperfection! The idea is to make a catwalk and to get the children to walk a shoe fashion show. In this fashion show it’s about wearing the most clumsy, too big shoes, making it as difficult to walk normally as possible. God can’t use shoes like that, surely?!

Spreading the gospel, evangelizing, daring to be yourself, self worth.

To be used for:
- Children’s moment during a service
- Creative children’s work
